The Division believes in nurturing the safety, skill, and overall wellness of their employees, so that they can thrive in a dynamic environment and achieve personal and professional growth.We are pleased to be partnered with the Sawmills group to recruit for a Finance Operations Analyst for their high-performance team in Saint John, NB. We are looking for an energetic, early career professional to join their Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, reporting to Manager of FP&A. This is a great opportunity for someone who is ambitious and looking to demonstrate their abilities to accelerate their career progression.Key responsibilities in this role will be:

  • Working directly with business leaders to support strategic decision making through strong financial analysis and reporting.
  • Analyzing financial statements and sharing insights with the business to drive improvement.
  • Proactive trend analysis to help management understand potential issues and recommend corrective action.
  • Maintaining an operating forecast and continuously improving the process of capturing new information.
  • Calculating transfer pricing and conduct program/product profit analysis.
  • Presentation of findings and specific recommendations to operations and management.
  • Operational and financial KPI development and tracking.
  • Analytical support for capital projects and initiatives.
  • Building partnerships with a wide variety of stakeholders to assist with problem solving, analysis and business improvement.
  • Leading initiatives, projects and be a tireless champion of business objectives.
The ideal candidate in this role will have:
  • CPA designation, or near completion.
  • Bachelor\'s degree in business or related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in an accounting, finance, analytics, continuous improvement or other quantitative-based position.
  • Excellent communication skills and leadership capability.
  • Able to work both as part of a team and independently.
  • Excellent Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of TM1, Power BI, Tableau, Cognos or other database and reporting tools considered an asset.
