Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee our company's financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to strategic financial planning and support the company's growth through effective financial management. Candidates should possess strong expertise in accounting software and financial analysis and financail reporting with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. Job is Hybrid. Company located in DT Toronto.

Responsibilities

Manage all accounting operations & staff of 4, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities. Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets to provide insights into company performance. Oversee account reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy of financial data. Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities and implement corrective actions. Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics 365 or other platforms to maintain accurate financial records. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and standards. Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts to support strategic planning. Coordinate with external auditors during audits and prepare necessary documentation. Monitor cash flow and manage banking relationships to optimize financial stability.

Skills

Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics 365 or other platforms to maintain accurate financial records. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and GL accounts reconciliation. Ability to perform detailed account analysis and prepare comprehensive financial reports. Leadership & organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate financial oversight. Effective communication skills for collaboration across departments and with external auditors. Prior experience in a similar role as a Controller or Senior Accountant is preferred. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $105,000.00-$115,000.00 per year
