We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Controller to oversee our financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the organization's growth. The Financial Controller will play a critical role in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger management.
Lead and manage the finance/accounting department/bookkeepers
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Review all incoming funds (revenue, loans) and outgoing payments (expenses, payroll, taxes)
Prepare and consolidate in-house financial statements. Maintain total control over company finances
Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
Analyze financial data and share reports with management
Manage daily cash flow and ensure funds are available.
Create and review
project performas
(costing, ROI, financial impact) for new or ongoing projects
Coordinate with auditors and support external audit processes
Prepare and manage budgets; compare actuals vs. budget (variance analysis)
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax requirements, and industry-specific accounting standards.
Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Work closely with senior management to provide financial insights and recommendations.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions as needed.

for financial documentation, contracts, and compliance
Supervise and review the work of bookkeepers and accounting staff
Implement and monitor internal financial controls and processes

Conduct account reconciliation and account analysis to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.

Implement and maintain accounting software systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero for efficient financial management.
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
Ensure timely completion of audits and compliance with internal controls.
Provide leadership to the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role in accounting management.
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is essential.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices including budgeting, account reconciliation, and payroll processing.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $70,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
