I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent on the South Shore of Montreal. Our team, experts in finance, speak your language and operate in your world. We cover accounting, finance and payroll professions.I am looking for a financial controller for my client in the manufacturing sector. This is a permanent position in hybrid mode with 2 days in the office in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.
Main responsibilities and tasks of the position
xefx82xb7 Prepare the end of month file for companies (reconciliations and analyses)
xefx82xb7 Monitor bank accounts and loans
xefx82xb7 Produce various analysis reports
xefx82xb7 Update weekly financial dashboards
xefx82xb7 Monitor cash flows (accounts receivable and payable)
xefx82xb7 Supervise the preparation of payroll and management of employee files
xefx82xb7 Prepare periodic government declarations and remittances (DAS, GST/TVQ, T4/R1 etc.)
xefx82xb7 Knowledge of American sales taxes (an asset)
xefx82xb7 Prepare and record end-of-month entries
xefx82xb7 Manage customer credit and monitor receipts of all customer accounts
xefx82xb7 Prepare monthly and annual financial statements by carrying out account reconciliations
xefx82xb7 Review the TECs of current projects
xefx82xb7 Participate in taking inventories and analyze discrepancies
xefx82xb7 Participate in the end of year processes for our 3 companies
xefx82xb7 Participate in the implementation of a new ERP accounting system (Winter 2025)
xefx82xb7 Participate in the budget process
xefx82xb7 Obtaining the CPA title
xefx82xb7 Undergraduate university degree (accounting)
xefx82xb7 Minimum experience of 3-5 years
xefx82xb7 Payroll management experience (an asset)
xefx82xb7 Mastery of the Office suite (mainly Excel)
xefx82xb7 Experience in the construction industry (an asset)
xefx82xb7 Good knowledge of the accounting cycle and payroll processing
xefx82xb7 Demonstrate respect for confidentiality rules
xefx82xb7 Has knowledge of accounting software (SAGE an asset)
xefx82xb7 Has excellent organizational skills
xefx82xb7 Has good analytical skills and works rigorously
