Role Overview
The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This role plays a key part in financial planning, analysis, and decision support for senior management.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed assets
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements
Develop, maintain, and improve internal financial controls and procedures
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity planning
Coordinate external audits and act as the primary point of contact for auditors and regulators
Support strategic decision-making with financial analysis and insights
Supervise and mentor accounting and finance team members
Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial accuracy and operational efficiency
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) preferred
5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance
