We are seeking an experienced and hands-on
Controller
to lead company-wide accounting operations, financial controls, and reporting for a multi-branch, inventory-intensive organization. This role is responsible for financial integrity, compliance, cash management, and team leadership, while partnering closely with executive leadership to drive informed decision-making, scalability, and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, sound judgment, and a forward-looking mindset -- including interest in AI-driven finance tools and automation.

Key Responsibilities
Lead company-wide accounting operations, financial controls, and policy enforcement
Ensure financial data integrity, proper segregation of duties, and compliance with internal and external requirements
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including branch and departmental P&Ls
Own budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial performance reporting
Manage cash flow, treasury activities, banking relationships, and payment approvals
Lead audit, year-end close, statutory filings, and relationships with auditors and advisors
Provide leadership to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams, including oversight of collections and credit policies
Support executive leadership with financial insights, analysis, and presentations
Assist with mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and financial systems integration
Drive continuous improvement through process optimization, automation, and AI-enabled financial tools
Stay current on industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging financial technologies
Qualifications
CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional designation preferred
8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including leadership responsibility
Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, internal controls, and financial reporting
Experience in multi-branch, inventory-intensive, or service-based organizations strongly preferred
Proven ability to lead teams, manage deadlines, and partner with senior leadership
Comfort with modern accounting systems, automation (AI), and data-driven
