Eco-Pro Services Inc. is seeking a senior-level Financial Controller to lead the Finance & Accounting function across the entire Eco-Pro group. This role is responsible for financial oversight, multi-entity reporting, intercompany integrity, month-end close, and internal financial controls.
The Controller ensures accuracy, consistency, and compliance across all entities while supervising the accounting team and supporting ownership with reliable financial reporting.
Core Responsibilities
Multi-Entity & Intercompany Oversight
Oversee accounting and financial reporting for all Eco-Pro and related entities
Ensure consistency in accounting treatment, structure, and reporting across companies
Oversee all intercompany transactions, including billings, allocations, asset movements, and settlements
Ensure intercompany balances are properly documented, reconciled, and eliminated for consolidated reporting
Maintain clear financial reporting relationships between entities
Month-End Close & Reporting
Own and lead the month-end close process for all entities
Establish close timelines, checklists, and accountability
Review and approve reconciliations, accruals, adjusting entries, intercompany reconciliations, and capital asset schedules
Produce accurate monthly financial statements by entity and consolidated group reporting
Prepare and present financial reports, KPIs, and trend analysis to ownership
Budgets, Forecasting & Analysis
Lead annual budgeting and forecasting across all entities
Perform variance analysis and year-over-year comparisons
Provide financial insight to support operational and strategic decision-making
Cash Flow, Banking & Risk
Lead cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning
Manage banking relationships and credit facilities
Act as a signing authority and ensure strong transaction controls
Monitor financial risk and exposure across entities
Compliance & External Coordination
Oversee CRA compliance across all entities (GST, Payroll, Corp Tax and Fuel related filings)
Coordinate year-end financial review and tax support with external accountants
Maintain audit-ready documentation and schedules
Oversee insurance reviews and renewals from a financial perspective
Systems, Controls & Leadership
Own financial systems, data integrity, and reporting structure
Ensure alignment between operational systems (fuel, rentals, assets) and accounting records
Strengthen internal controls and standardize processes across entities
Lead and supervise the accounting team (4-5 staff)
Act as the primary escalation point for accounting and finance matters
Qualifications
CPA designation preferred (or well advanced toward completion)
Minimum 5 years' experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller
Strong experience with multi-entity accounting and intercompany transactions
Proven ownership of month-end close and consolidated reporting
Experience leading a small accounting team
ERP and integrated system experience, Quickbooks Online experience preferred.
Highly organized, self-directed, and process-driven
