Position Overview

As Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and overseeing the financial systems, controls, and reporting processes that support Excir's rapid growth and mission. You will be both strategic and hands-on, ensuring compliance, driving process efficiency, and providing leadership insights that inform critical business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead all aspects of financial management including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and compliance. Develop and maintain robust internal controls and scalable financial systems suitable for a growing technology company. Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, forecasts, and management reports. Support fundraising, investor relations, and due diligence activities through reliable data and financial modeling. Work closely with senior leadership to align financial strategy with sustainability and growth objectives. Oversee cash flow management, cost control, and capital planning. Ensure compliance with IFRS and relevant tax, audit, and regulatory requirements. Manage external relationships with auditors, banks, investors, and other key partners. Mentor and develop a high-performing finance team as the company scales.
Qualifications

CPA professional designation. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 5+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including experience in a startup or high-growth environment. Solid understanding of corporate finance, fundraising, government grants, and investor reporting, with experience in venture capital and financial modeling (MBA considered an asset). Proficient in accounting systems and advanced Excel skills to streamline reporting, design KPI dashboards, automate workflows, and enhance data accuracy. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive, resilient, and entrepreneurial mindset. Passion for sustainability, innovation, and the clean technology sector.

Pay: $90,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
