Your Role


We are looking to fill the role of Financial Controller for the Swine BU. This position will report to the Finance Director, Swine (based in Denmark) with a functional reporting line to the General Manager (based in the USA). This role will be based in the Kitchener, ON office and will act as the finance partner for the swine business, to analyze, translate financial reporting and developing metrics for increased profitability and overall company performance. Further, you will delve into the business and provide insights, analytics and contribute at a very high level so that the company's business plans and objectives are supported and realized. This position will lead, support and develop the accounting staff to achieve deadlines and accuracy of information.

Responsibilities



Responsible for reporting and business control of the operating areas based in Hypor Inc and Hypor USA Review, analyze and adapt/improve systems and control processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function Communicate financial status and tax position of the company to management Ensure compliance with external statutory and fiscal requirements as well as HG corporate policies Be close to the business and act as business partner for operations and sales. Related to this, it will be required to visit the business locations regularly to check business performance, as well as work with various departments to act and make improvement plans where necessary Timely and accurate delivery of all business, finance related reports for the BU Prepare annual budgets, regular forecasts and actual reporting in cooperation with all departments Provide focus for operational performance by reporting on relevant KPIs Advise necessary actions to the GM to improve financial results and to reach targets as set out in the yearly budget and forecast Assist in establishing business cases for Capex, other duties as assigned

Your Profile



Bachelor or Master's degree in Finance CPA designation 5 - 8 years of experience in an international/multinational environment Accounting system experience, ERP experience Excellent Excel skills Background in agriculture, product and/or distribution environment is considered an asset Bi-lingual in English/Spanish is considered an asset Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with people at all levels Customer focused (internally and externally)
