Our client is an international banking and financial institution with divisions located in the Americas, Europe, Asia,and the Middle East. They are establishing their first Canadian office and are expecting exponential growth.
We are seeking to fulfill a temporary contractual role in the organization. This role will provide assistance in the monthly accounting process and to prepare accurate audit trail for the December 2025 year end
Responsibilities:
- Proceed to unreconciled bank account items analysis and prepare the needed adjustment
- Proceed to various analysis to ensure that the general ledger fairly represent the activities of the entity
- Prepare the current and deferred tax journal entries
- Prepare the monthly VAT tax filing.
- Ensure proper invoicing of the services agreements and the associated receivables
- In coordination with A/P team, keep update the fixed asset file and compute the monthly depreciation
- In coordination with control management GIT, HRE and GSP, review the general expenses and proceed to month end accruals
- Ensure the proper computation of IFRS16
- Prepare the monthly corporate analysis for the expenses and income (on MTD, YTD basis)
- Lead the annual financial audit with the auditors and ensure timely completion of audit requirements.
- Document specific processes where further documentation is needed (scope to be confirmed)
- Provide assistance to HRE dept in formalizing the accruals process
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3 years in similar role.
- Previous experience as external auditor is essential
- CPA title is a plus
- Language: Ability to works in French and English is an asset. Documents and procedures are in English.
