The Financial Planning Team continues to collaborate with FNHA Teams to reform and redesign health programs to First Nations individuals, families, and communities. The Financial Consultant will help the Organization navigate a dynamic environment by providing financial advice that informs decision-making and maximize investments in programming.

$88,948 - $104,644 - $120,341 per year (pay range explained below)

Hours:

37.5 hours (core hours Mon-Fri 9am-3pm)

Location:

Alberni (Metro Vancouver) on the traditional and unceded territories of the Coast Salish Territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations - Hybrid (Hybrid working is an option in line with FNHA's flex work policy).

Please note, this role will be relocating to our new office building in North Vancouver on Tsleil-Waututh Nation (TWN) land, south of Mount Seymour Parkway in Spring 2027.

About the role



As a Financial Consultant, you will provide strategic and operational financial consulting services and advice to Senior Business Leaders, Management Teams, and Cost Centre Owners, supporting alignment of financial management practices and business strategies. You will participate in collaborative information sharing, problem solving, and decision-making across a multi-disciplinary finance team, drawing on the expertise of both internal and external subject matter experts to facilitate effective implementation of plans and initiatives in a seamless service delivery model.

About you



To be successful in this role you will have -

EDUCATION



Successful completion of a degree with specialization in accounting, finance, business administration, or commerce. A recognized accounting designation (CA, CMA, CFA or CGA) plus 5 to 7 years related specialized experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of two years of experience in audit is an asset

KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES



Advanced knowledge of the concepts, practices, methods and techniques pertaining to the Finance field, including knowledge of specialized disciplines, such as planning, budgeting, forecasting, and general accounting (i.e. GAAP) Advanced communication and interpersonal skills to build client relationships and provide strategic advice and coaching to executives, managers and staff on a wide range of Finance topics and issues; and to participate on projects, initiatives, committees and work groups Planning skills to translate strategies into workable plans and tactics; and to take the lead on projects and assignments to address clients' Finance requirements Solid research and analytical skills to identify and assess client group strategies and plans, and to establish Finance requirements

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.

Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.

The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
