Core Responsibilities
The part-time temporary Financial Assistant is responsible for the following:
Payables:
Print Invoices, code, and enter invoices into Sage 50
Print, code, and enter credit card invoices into Sage 50
Maintain and file accounts payable files
Update Sage 50 for payments
Respond to email inquiries from vendors
Administrative support:
Restitution payments: respond to restitution enquiries, update restitution tracker
Maintain and file payments and emails
Provide assistance with Budget planning
Other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
1 year of accounts payable experience or 3rd/4th year in an accounting program at a post-secondary institution.
Experience in Sage 50 or other accounting software preferred, or willing to be trained
Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (intermediate expertise with Excel is preferred).
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism .
