Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical individual to join our corporate finance team as a Financial Reporting Analyst. Reporting to the Group Controller, the Financial Reporting Analyst will be responsible for consolidation of Pollard's subsidiaries financial results, preparing external financial statements and note support, as well as performing IFRS guidance analysis. The ideal candidate will have strong financial reporting experience, an in-depth understanding of IFRS, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

What You'll Do
  • Consolidation of Pollard's subsidiaries' results into the corporate financial statements, including elimination of intercompany transactions and balances.
  • Assist with preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements and MD&A.
  • Work closely with subsidiaries' local accounting teams to ensure accuracy of financial data.
  • Provide financial analysis and support for various ad-hoc requests, including creating and delivering customized reports based on specific business needs.
  • Support the consolidated budget process by collaborating with local subsidiaries, ensuring timely and accurate submission of budgets.
  • Compilation and analysis of data to support the company's annual insurance renewal
  • Perform research and analysis on IFRS requirements and new accounting standards.
  • Support the integration of newly acquired subsidiaries, facilitating proper consolidation of acquisition-related financial data and compliance with IFRS.
  • Contribute to special projects including process improvements, system upgrades or strategic financial initiatives.

What You'll Bring
  • CPA designation preferred; candidates actively working towards completion will also be considered.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in financial reporting, consolidation and IFRS analysis.
  • Tech savvy with proficiency using MS Office applications and experience with financial reporting software.
  • A high level of initiative and a proactive approach to problem solving with a focus on process improvement.
