Job Description

Our client within manufacturing and R&D is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst for a 9 to 12-month contract to join their team.Reporting to the Plant Controller, this position is ideal for a professional with at least 3 years of related experience in a high-volume environment, preferably with costing experience in manufacturing. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong financial acumen, the ability to work collaboratively across departments, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Key Responsibilities:- Prepare, manage requests for capital expenditures.
- Conduct distressed inventory reporting and analysis.
- Perform manufacturing cost accounting close processes, including material usage and variance analysis.
- Analyze purchase price variances.
- Review and approve purchase orders.
- Oversee material destruction order processes.
- Conduct detailed inventory analysis and reporting.
- Collaborate with Planning, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality departments to provide financial insights and metrics.
- Respond to daily ad hoc financial reporting and analysis requests.Qualifications:- Diploma or Degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
