Trouw Nutrition is hiring... a Financial Analyst to join our team in Western Canada. In this role, you will actively pursue continuous process and technical improvements (bottlenecks, efficiencies and insights) to reports and practices.

Financial Analyst, Okotoks, AB OR Winnipeg, MB

Our Financial Analyst is accountable for key financial data: analyzing, understanding and reporting at the most detailed level. We count on your experience and expertise to provide analysis and insight for management decision-making, clearly articulating cause-and-effect relationships based on the analysis conducted.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Active in month-end processes with focus on timelines, accuracy and completeness, that includes:

  • Preparation of complex journal entries, reconciliations and schedules.
  • Accounts Payable coding - High volume transaction analysis
  • Monthly accrual and invoice bookings
  • Variance reviews, corrections and re-classes.
  • Prepare financial reporting
  • Maintenance and updating of schedules and reconciliations.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
  • 2-5 years of proven experience in financial accounting. Degree or diploma with finance or accounting focus preferred.
  • Advanced application skills on software applications, i.e. MS Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI
  • Experience with large accounting software and reporting packages.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
  • Strong financial analysis experience.
  • Demonstrated collaboration, teamwork and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work as a key member of a diverse and results-oriented team.
  • Coachable, solid organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Strong communication and listening skills.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
  • Permanent, Full time
  • Work can be located in either Winnipeg or Okotoks
