Job Description

We are seeking for a Financial Analyst to join our team in Toronto, Ontario. The role involves analyzing financial data, maintaining accurate records, and performing bank reconciliations among other duties. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities:

• Analyzing monthly financial statements and conducting budget versus actual analysis.
• Ensuring accurate record keeping of outstanding checks, returns, and payments made.
• Handling bank reconciliations, data entry, and reporting journal entries.
• Assisting with the preparation of internal financial statements, including month-end adjusting entries, amortization, and depreciations.
• Making vendor payments and preparing variance reports.
• Utilizing Excel for data analysis, including the use of pivot tables and vlookup.
• Working with accounting software systems for efficient processing and recording of transactions.
• Assisting with the management of mortgages, ensuring payments and information are up to date.
• Ensuring accuracy of interest rates and renewals for mortgages.
• Performing other accounting functions as needed.
• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems
• Demonstrable knowledge of Accounting Functions
• Practical experience with Accrual Accounting
• Proven experience in Auditing
• Familiarity with Budget Processes
• Strong skills in Excel Formulas
• Bachelor\'s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work well in a team
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and handle pressure
• Strong organizational skills
• Proactive with a high level of initiative
