Financial Analyst
Job Description
The Financial Analyst - Investments plays a critical role in the treasury, accounting and administration functions for two organizations: Hamilton Health Sciences (HHS) and the Hamilton Health Sciences Research Institute (HHSRI). Their responsibilities include supporting an Investment Office that manages over $600 million in combined investments across multiple asset classes. The Analyst performs accounting, cash forecasting, database/portfolio management system maintenance, and general ledger reconciliations for all bank and investment accounts.Qualifications * Accreditation as Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 5 years accounting and/or financial analysis and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, especially Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word.
- Demonstrated knowledge of CPA Canadas Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, specifically Public Sector Accounting Standards, as well as, Part III Accounting Standards for Not-for-Profit Organizations.
- Proven ability to analyze research, manage and work independently.
- Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal.
