Position Overview -

A Financial Analyst is being sought to join our Portfolio, Transactions & Estates team. The analyst will support the client's real estate budgeting process and monthly cost tracking for a variety of real estate functions. The analyst will also perform analysis on real estate transactions (lease acquisitions, renewals, relocations, downsizes and disposals) and also be responsible for the successful delivery and analysis of a comprehensive range of financial reports.

What this job involves -

1. Budgeting and Forecasting (40% to 60%)

  • Support both Client (FRP) and JLL budgeting and forecasting (FP&A)
  • Annual budget planning preparation and development across multiple real estate functions
  • Maintain a rolling reforecast (YE outlook)
  • Detailed monthly analysis of budget (and forecast) vs. actuals spending
  • Detailed monthly monitoring of cost savings initiatives vs. budget
  • Be trusted to advise and provide suggestions for improving existing processes
2. Reporting (20% to 40%)
  • Support and implement "Best in Class" reporting.
  • Complete and support regular and ad-hoc reporting including informal and formal internal and documents, reports, graphs, charts and presentations.
  • Support team's efforts to develop efficient reporting strategies including automation and simplification of reporting processes while preserving data integrity
  • Organize and maintain team data collection, reporting and communication.
  • Support cost-savings and process improvement initiatives
  • Participate in the development and distribution of best practices, process documentation, and user support materials for reporting.
  • Monthly & quarterly report generation
  • Run day to day reporting and forecasting activities
  • Maintain and enhance reporting
  • KPI tracking
  • Prepare commission invoices and track payment
  • Updating reports, presentations, and analyses
  • General and ad hoc reporting as needed to support transaction activities
3. Analysis (20% to 40%)
  • Identify tactical and strategic opportunities, gaps and financial risks through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Analyze performance data to forecast/trend.
  • Monthly and Quarterly Report Analysis
4. Financial Analysis (20% to 40%)
  • Prepare detailed analysis, including cash and P&L views of the cash flows. Elaborate financial indicators such as NPV or total nominal commitment.
  • Financial modeling
5. Due Diligence (less than 20%)
  • Review, understand and abstract complex real estate documents as part of the team's underwriting and due diligence process
  • Writes lease summaries and abstracts
6. Other
  • Any and all other duties assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

EDUCATION/TRAINING

Minimum required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Experience in Software Tools: MS Office Products, strong Excel skills
Preferred:
  • Experience in PowerBI, Power Query, Power Pivot and/or other BI and visualization tools
  • Prior use of systems and tools used to extract and analyze data
  • Process Management experience or demonstrated skills
YEARS OF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

Minimum required:
  • 3 to 5 years
Preferred:
  • Experience in Real Estate/Property Management services
  • Experience Financial FP&A
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Minimum required:
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy and ability to make effective decisions and solve problems
Preferred:
  • Ability to collaborate across many levels
  • Strong organization and coordination skills
  • Strong analytical skills and sound judgment
OTHER ABILITIES

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
