About this opportunity:
Reporting to Manager, Lease and Corporate Service Accounting. The Finance and Risk team has an exciting opportunity for a Financial Analyst to join their team. The ideal candidate will handle month-end duties for lease accounting, support the Workplace teams, complete monthly journal entries, account reconciliations and variance analysis. This role involves actively participating in the company's budget and forecast activities related to lease accounting and functions within the WR&E team.
What youll do:
Month-end duties for the lease accounting and field accommodation teams
Complete monthly journal entities, account reconciliations and variance analysis
Working closely with the Workplace and real estate team on a monthly basis and provide result explanations to the collaborators
Actively perform lease assessments, modifications and re-measurements and quantify the impact
Compile the quarterly lease liability financial statement note disclosure
Actively participate in the Companys budget and forecast activities as it pertains to lease accounting and functions within the Workplace and real estate team
Who you are:
University degree combined with a CPA Designation or an advanced degree in accounting
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
Knowledge of the oil and gas industry would be advantageous
