Job Summary and Daily Tasks
  • Oversee the financial activities of Mincon Canada, take responsibility for the accounts of the organization.
  • Perform payroll functions and act as administrator for benefits & pension plan.
  • Maintains employee records & assists in Human Resource functions.
  • Maintain accurate financial records for tax-related purposes.
  • Prepare the organization\xe2\x80\x99s monthly and annual financial reports.
  • Retain the spreadsheets of all the financial activities of the organization and bring them together into the necessary reports at the end of the month and year.
  • Keeps all the documentation that supports the financial figures, such as invoices and receipts, and coordinates activities for external audits.
  • Prepare monthly accounting reconciliations resolving account discrepancies.
  • Ensure the financial rules and policies of the company are followed.
  • Prepare accounts for payments received and purchases made by the organization.
  • Directing the preparation of financial reports summarizing and estimating the organization\xe2\x80\x99s financial position such as income statements, balance sheets and analyses of future earnings and income.
  • Assist with the organization\xe2\x80\x99s annual budget based on the necessities of the business.
  • Manage accounts receivable and payable, as well as expenses.
  • Identify financial liabilities and perform risk analysis on liquidity and cash flow.
  • Keep abreast of regulatory requirements and best practices in financial administration.
  • Oversee the preparation and posting of receipts, deposits, purchase orders, invoices, refunds, and other standard bookkeeping tasks.
  • Review and process reimbursements.
  • Contact delinquent accounts.
  • Acts as administrator over the company\xe2\x80\x99s ERP system M1.
  • Be aware and supportive of all company Health and Safety requirements as well as the Quality Management System.
  • Reports all incidents or concerns regarding Health and Safety in the workplace.

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Post secondary education in accounting, finance, or a similar field.
  • A minimum or two years experience as a financial administrator, or similar.
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial controls and accounting standards.
  • Extensive experience in financial reporting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
Physical demands and working conditions: The Financial Administrator tasks include activities that require both sitting and standing for long periods as well as walking, use of stairs and lifting- up to 30 lbs. In the course of regular work, the position will involve bending, reaching and rotational movements. Regular use of a computer keyboard, mouse and monitor will be expected, as well as a desk phone and headset. There may be exposure to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials as a part of the daily working conditions, for which mitigating actions will be taken Job Type: Full-time Salary: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year Benefits:
