Position Overview


Ensure accurate and timely month-end close, including journals, reconciliations, accruals, costs, and estimates
Oversee submission of financial data within Hyperion Financial Reporting and manage HFM reporting uploads
Support alignment of internal and external reporting and assist with knowledge sharing among finance team members
Contribute to month-end streamlining and elimination of non-value-added activities.
Ensure compliance with all statutory, taxation, insurance, and audit requirements.
Assist in preparation and forecasting of annual budget, OPEX, CAPEX, and ARO for Mine Site departments.
Maintain and improve financial systems, including Mincom, IDU, Ellipse, and Coupa support requirements.
Collaborate with Mine Operations, Maintenance, and Business Support teams to analyze and align operational costs.


Qualifications


Degree/Diploma in accounting, finance, or related field required; CPA or similar professional designation preferred
2-5 years of experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and month-end close processes; experience within the mining or industrial sector an asset
Strong understanding of accounting principles, IFRS, and relevant financial regulations
Advanced skills in financial software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to deliver accurate, error-free financial data and reports under tight deadlines
Proactive approach to identifying and addressing inefficiencies, redundant activities, and other areas for process improvement
