Position:

As a Financial Accountant withing our Canada team, you will support all accounting and reporting functions on-site in Brampton, Ontario.

Your duties will include but not be limited to:

Assisting with day-to-day accounting functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and bank reconciliations Supporting month-end and year-end close procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations Maintaining accurate financial records and assisting in the preparation of financial statements Supporting audits, reviews, budgeting, and forecasting Assist in tax filings, including excise duty, HST, payroll tax, and income tax, in accordance with CRA requirements Collaborating cross-functionally and externally to ensure accurate records are maintained

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will have already completed a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, have a solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles, and be eager to take the next step in your career by pursuing a professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA).


It is essential you have:

Knowledge of IFRS/US GAAP, cost accounting, and financial reporting High proficiency in Microsoft Excel Detail-orientated approach with strong organizational and analytical skills Ability to work independently while contributing to a wider team goal Drive to improve processes and strive for high quality Strong communication skills
It would be highly beneficial if you also have a familiarity with accounting ERP systems.
