Schedule:
Summer Student Opportunities begin in May 2026 and end in August 2026. Job Details:
The Finance Intern will support Trimac's Finance team across a variety of financial reporting, analysis, and planning activities. This role is designed to provide hands on exposure to real world finance work while contributing to projects that support day-to-day operations and business decision making.
This opportunity is ideal for a student pursuing post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field who is seeking practical experience in a fast paced, data-driven environment. Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with team members across Finance, Accounting, and other internal stakeholders
• Assist with financial reporting, analysis, and preparation of dashboards and presentation
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities
• Help maintain financial trackers, reports, and documentation
• Assist with data collection, validation, and reconciliation activities
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the finance function
• Support ad-hoc analysis and special projects as required

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program related to Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Professional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Comfortable working with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (PowerPoint an asset)
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive financial information with discretion
• Proactive, eager to learn, and able to work both independently and collaboratively

Program Eligibility

• Be enrolled in a post-secondary institution and available from May to August
• Returning to school following the summer term
• Be legally entitled to work in Canada (Citizen, PR, or valid work permit)
