We currently have exciting opportunities within our Cavendish Farms operations for Finance Student to join our teams in Dieppe, New Brunswick, for the Summer 2024 Work Term.

Cavendish Farms is a leading producer of frozen food products for retail and foodservice markets throughout Canada, the United States, and around the world. We have state-of-the-art potato processing plants in Prince Edward Island, Lethbridge, Alberta, and Jamestown, North Dakota, and an appetizer plant in Wheatley, Ontario. Our Head Office is in Dieppe, New Brunswick and has sales office locations in Toronto, Montreal, and Boston.

Reporting to the Finance Systems and Process Lead, the summer student would receive an opportunity to get a comprehensive understanding of many aspects of Cavendish Farms Finance Systems and Processes.

• Enrolled in an undergraduate degree in business or accounting,

The Main Duties/Responsibilities of This Role Include:

• Assist with creating process documentation and process flows and reviewing with Finance department managers.
• Reviewing and updating process architecture to ensure its compliance.
• Aid in report and dashboard building.
• Assist Finance Process Data Leads with system optimization initiatives.
• Supporting Finance Process Data Leads for various tasks.

Critical experiences gained:

Understanding of various Finance department processes and systems through hands on experience such as Manufacturing Accounting, Pricing and Financial Accounting

Plant tour to see our manufacturing process in action

Learning of Procedure Flow process mapping software, TM1 Planning Analytics and E1 ERP system
