We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Finance Project Manager to lead strategic initiatives across our finance and accounting functions. This is a two-year contract role based in Surrey, BC, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer. Working cross-functionally across departments including HR, IT, and Operations, you will coordinate timelines, manage project resources, and ensure outcomes align with Baptist Housingxe2x80x99s values and vision. Youxe2x80x99ll play a critical role in modernizing processes, driving automation initiatives, and supporting regulatory compliance xe2x80x94 all within a collaborative and purpose-driven environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership & Execution

• Lead multiple finance and accounting projects through full life cycles
• Develop detailed project plans, allocate resources, and manage budgets
• Identify risks, resolve issues, and maintain quality standards

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with finance, HR, IT, and operational teams to define project scope and deliverables
• Facilitate effective communication among internal and external stakeholders

Operational Excellence & Compliance

• Support regulatory compliance, internal controls, and audit readiness
• Lead process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency

Leadership & Mentorship

• Provide leadership and guidance to project teams
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration

Requirements

• Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred)
• 5+ years of project management experience with 3+ years focused on finance/accounting
• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification strongly preferred
• Advanced knowledge of financial reporting, forecasting, and accounting principles
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Jira, Smartsheet)
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Highly organized, adaptable, and effective under pressure
