Finance Officer

Classification: Full time, Permanent

Salary: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour

Location: ?Esdilagh, BC

Summary

The Finance Officer will provide accounting support to ?Esdilagh First Nation and will be responsible for ensuring finance related administration processes are completed accurately and in a timely manner. The Finance Officer will be responsible for day-to-day management of financial transactions and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Support all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, banking, and budgeting Administer benefits and pension plans for all employees Review and reconcile financial accounts Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using computerized bookkeeping systems Reconcile accounts Track and report on funding agreements Prepare financial reports and statements for funders and ensure compliance with contribution agreement requirements Support development, implementation, and enforcement of financial policies and procedures
Requirements

3+ years of experience in a financial role Degree in Finance or Accounting an asset Extensive experience with accounting procedures and systems Strong attention to detail Confidentiality concerning financial and personnel files Computer proficiency in MS365 and relevant accounting software (Sage intact) Superior time management skills Problem solving skills
Working Conditions

Travel may be required Ability to attend and conduct presentations Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and additional hardware Overtime as required Lifting or moving up to 10lbs may be required
