Description
We're seeking a seasoned Finance Manager to lead financial operations for an international marine transportation group with entities in Canada and Singapore. This high-impact role oversees financial strategy, reporting, compliance, and performance management across multiple jurisdictions. You'll play a central part in guiding financial decision-making, strengthening internal controls, and driving continuous improvement while leading a high-performing finance team.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting across a complex, multi-entity structure.
Oversee statutory filings, regulatory compliance, and audited financial statements in both Canada and Singapore.
Drive budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and variance reporting to guide business performance.
Provide sophisticated financial modeling to support major decisions, including new vessel acquisitions, divestments, and financing strategies.
Oversee treasury functions such as cash flow management, internal borrowing, and working capital optimization.
Strengthen internal controls and ensure ongoing SOX compliance.
Build and maintain strong relationships with joint venture partners and uphold shareholder agreement requirements.
Support enhancements to finance systems, streamline processes, and lead change management initiatives.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
Partner closely with cross-functional leaders to support organizational strategy and drive continuous improvement.
What You Must Have
Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
CPA (or equivalent) designation is mandatory.
10+ years of post-designation accounting/finance experience with progressive responsibility.
Proven leadership experience managing teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
Expertise working with ERP systems and multi-currency environments.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Strong technical accounting skills (IFRS knowledge is an asset).
Experience with financial reporting for multi-entity structures.
Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and lead through change.
