We're looking for a Finance Manager to own and drive the finance function across both our Australian and North American operations. This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for the full breadth of accounting and finance activities--from day-to-day bookkeeping, billing and payroll through to investor reporting, financial modelling and target setting. You'll work closely with our leadership team and external tax accountants to ensure we have the financial infrastructure and insights needed to scale.
What You'll Do:

Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts, investor metrics and board materials
Execute month-end processes and coordinate year-end close processes
Maintain and update schedules for revenue reconciliation, unearned revenue, prepayments, accruals, annual leave provisions, fixed assets and depreciation, and intercompany recharges
Payroll & Compliance
Process payroll for both AU (Xero) and US (Deel) teams
Calculate and facilitate payments for sales commissions / bonuses and CSM commissions
Manage employee entitlements, including annual leave provisions, flexi leave balances and other benefits

Oversee government rebates and incentive programs (R&D tax credits, grants, etc.)

Handle treasury functions, working capital management, and foreign exchange
Prepare investor and board metrics and related materials to support stakeholder communications
Assist with fundraising efforts, including leading financial due diligence, managing data rooms, and preparing supporting documentation
Partner with leadership on product pricing strategies, unit economics analysis, and growth planning initiatives
Cross-Border Operations
Manage transfer pricing, intercompany transactions, and recharges between AU and US entities
Navigate operational and regulatory nuances of running finance functions across Australian and North American jurisdictions, including sales tax
Collaborate closely with US and AU tax accountants and external advisorsto ensure compliance and optimisation
What We're Looking For
4-6 years of corporate finance or auditing experience, ideally including time at a Big 4 firm or equivalent
Strong technical skills with hands-on experience across the full finance function, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, payroll processing, and month-end / year-end closes
Experience with or understanding of US tax accounting, business practices, and compliance
Proficiency with Xero, Excel, and comfortable learning new systems such as Deel, HubSpot, HubDoc, Subscript, GetSphere, and Stripe
Exceptional attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple cadences (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly) while maintaining accuracy in high-volume processes
Strong communication skills--you'll be working with everyone from our sales / customer success teams to external advisors / contractors to our board
Startup mindset: comfortable building and documenting processes from the ground up, wearing multiple hats in a fast-paced environment
Experience in a SaaS / technology business is a plus, particularly with a revenue recognition and unearned revenue
Comfortable with occasional US time zone exposure
