Finance Manager - Permanent - 17382About the OpportunityOur client, who is a prestigious organization located in Ottawa, is looking for a Finance Manager to join their team. As the only person in finance and accounting you will be responsible for all financial activities.Duties include but are not limited to:
- Accounting:
- Post monthly transactions into the general ledger
- Provide monthly/quarterly reports to HQ
- Prepare and file the quarterly HST return
- Prepare bi-weekly payroll
- Payroll and corporate income tax instalments and assessments
- Payroll returns (T4 and EHT)
- Prepare working papers and draft the company\'s financial statements for external accounting firm
- AP - Raise Purchase Orders, pay invoices and send EFT notifications
- AR - Prepare and submit invoices
- Prepare Service Level Agreements
- Intercompany (ICPT) purchase order approval
- Prepare annual budget
- Prepare/Review employees\' expense reports
- Bank account reconciliation
- HR:
- Upkeep of personnel files
- Prepare employment agreements
- Security clearance
- Manage group insurance and Health Spending Account
- Employee Share Ownership Plan (ESOP campaign)
- RRSP remittances
- Compliance:
- Internal Controls Self-Assessment
- Internal audit
- External audit
- At least 10+ years of experience in an accounting position
- Must be eligible for Secret clearance
