Our client, a leading global financial services organization, is growing its presence in Montreal and is seeking a Finance Manager - Accounting & Management Control to play a key role in strengthening and structuring its Finance function across the Americas. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and enhance the finance function for the organization's Canadian operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance across accounting, reporting, and management control activities.
• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, annual budgets, and performance KPIs.
• Structure and optimize internal finance processes to support growth and efficiency.
• Supervise two local finance teams (approximately 10 people total) providing services to the U.S. entity.
• Collaborate closely with senior finance leaders in Canada, the U.S., and Europe on financial reporting, audits, and tax matters.
• Ensure compliance with Canadian accounting standards and IFRS.
• Support local and international tax processes, including corporate tax, VAT, and cross-border considerations.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the finance team.
• Maintain productive relationships with auditors, tax authorities, and internal business partners across departments.

Qualifications & Experience

• CPA designation (or equivalent) with a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting, management control, or financial leadership roles.
• Proven experience leading and developing finance teams.
• Strong understanding of Canadian GAAP and IFRS.
• Experience in a complex, international, or multi-entity organization is a strong asset.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French (oral and written).
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence across functions and geographies.
• Entrepreneurial mindset - comfortable driving structure and process improvement in a growing organization.
