RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities:
Ownership of implementation and financial adherence with the finance operating model in Canada.
Ensure that an effective control environment exists through compliance with all Group control frameworks, policies, and procedures as relevant.
Supervision and leadership of finance team based in Canada.
Produce a Consolidated Monthly Financial report pack which provides robust commentary to all variances across the Canadian businesses.
Supervise the Canada Finance team reporting deliverables to the business, which include but are not limited to:
Project report
Gross Margin Analysis
Detailed backlog analysis
Billability and Utilisation analysis
Bridges direct and indirect project reports
SGA Analysis
DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) reporting
Other KPI\xe2\x80\x99s that may develop over time
Working Capital Management with the aim to improve DSO and optimize cash collections
Monthly review of balance sheet reconciliations prepared by local team and Houston Central Finance
Responsible for the preparation and consolidation of all budgeting and forecasting for Business Operations in Canada. This will involve working across the service lines and supporting Service Line Leads, often translating their business strategies into financial terms
Contribute to the development of Service line strategy across all areas of the business, challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets and business drivers
Support the client bid process, providing costing information and input into sales pricing
Further input on financial terms obtaining input from commercial and contracts where appropriate
Work with Operations identifying trigger points where tax input is needed and work with our colleagues in tax to find the most compliant and cost-effective solution
Compliance with local tax obligations and filings along with tax team
Identify profit generating initiatives and opportunities that improve financial outcomes
Be the focal point for internal and external audits as directed, ensuring accurate and timely information upon request
Provide financial external compliance support to other areas of the Wood business when the need arises
Where dormant entities exist within the business and it is under your remit to eliminate these entities as part of the company entity rationalisation plan
High level of decision influence particularly:
Using experience, qualification and judgement around the application of policies and IFRS requirements
Senior Operational Leadership, Finance and Team meetings
Good level of persuasion needed when providing financial input and advise to support the business

QUALIFICATIONS
BS/BA Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
Certified Accountant (CPA preferred)
10+ years of continuous experience in a similar position
Min of 8 years experience leading a team and managing change
Ability to manage conflicting priorities
Solid commercial knowledge
Advanced user of excel (Pivot tables, formulas, graphs, v-lookups, links between spreadsheets)
Advanced knowledge of Oracle, Quickbooks, Deltek Vision, Hyperion and Smartview
Ability to build Smartview ad-hoc analyses
Experience implementing ERPs
Strong analytical background
Self starter, Proactive and Positive
Ability to work proactively to analyse problems/issues and identify solutions
Highly energetic, good problem-solving skills and flexible to change
Presentation to Senior management expertise is required
Must be a Canadian citizen or authorized to work lawfully in Canada without sponsorship from Wood
