Position: Finance Lease Analyst

Our client, a leader in the property management industry, is seeking a Finance Lease Analyst to join their team in downtown Toronto! This role provides leadership support and expertise to regional and property staff on lease interpretation and tenant inquiries. It involves managing the administration of signed legal documents, such as leases and specialty agreements, ensuring accurate billing in line with the terms and contributing to the financial and operational efficiency of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze Tenant Proposal Forms (TPFs), validate data, and identify potential financial risks, offering recommendations to mitigate loss.
- Manage TPF though every stage of the Leasing process ensuring deals are imported in Yardi on a timely basis.
- Help facilitate accurate financial and operational reporting.
- Manage the administration of signed documents such as Leases, Lease Amending Agreements,
Specialty Leasing Agreements and License Agreements ensuring the tenant is billed in accordance to the legal document at all times.
- Identify and administer lease exceptions, maintaining accurate tracking in Yardi and the Recovery Manual.
- Conduct lease analysis to determine the financial impact of exceptions.
- Provide guidance and training to property staff on lease interpretation and the Commercial Management section of Yardi.
- Monitor deal setups in Yardi, ensuring adherence to revenue policies.
- Calculate and post monthly recovery accruals.
Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a property management or lease administration role (preferably Retail or Office).
- University degree in accounting, finance, commerce, business, or law.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience using Yardi or a similar program.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
