Job Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Coordinator to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in accounts payable and receivable, and supporting corporate finance initiatives. This position requires strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of financial services, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Responsibilities



Key Responsibilities The Finance Coordinator will report to the President and will be responsible for the following duties: o Administer bi-weekly payroll for staff o Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable in a timely and accurate manner o Collaborate with the external accountant to complete year-end financial statements o Prepare quarterly financial reports in collaboration with the President o Work with the President to develop and manage annual operating and project budgets o Support financial planning and reporting for fundraising events in coordination with MSA staff o Assist the President with project financial management, including grant-related reporting o Maintain accurate financial records using Sage 50 (Simply Accounting) o Prepare and submit HST and WorkSafeNB filings o Process employer remittances o Generate Records of Employment (ROEs) as needed, as well as T4 and T4 summary at year end o Reconcile bank account and credit card statements o Complete the annual charity return with the Corporate registry o Attend board meetings and staff meetings as required o Coordinate updates to insurance policies and ensure timely premium payments o Assist with day-to-day banking activities alongside the President o Perform other administrative and financial duties as assigned by the PresidenT

Requirements



Demonstrated experience in financial administration or accounting o Proficiency with Sage 50 (Simply Accounting) is required o Strong organizational skills and attention to detail o Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a small team Experience working with non-profit organizations and boards is an asset o Excellent communication skills and discretion in handling confidential information
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year

Schedule:

Monday to Friday
Work Location: Hybrid remote in South Esk, NB E1V 4L9
