The Finance Coordinator - AR & Bookkeeping supports the Finance Department in maintaining accurate and timely financial records across multiple business entities under Tyrod's corporate group. This position manages full-cycle bookkeeping and accounts receivable processes, performs reconciliations, prepares journal entries, and assists with month-end and year-end reporting. The role requires exceptional attention to detail, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to prioritize multiple concurrent tasks in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle accounts receivable, including invoicing, payment posting, and collections.
Perform full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple smaller companies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Prepare and process journal entries for accruals, adjustments, and intercompany transactions.
Complete monthly bank and account reconciliations across multiple entities.
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.
Maintain accurate and organized financial records in accordance with internal controls.
Support the finance team with ad-hoc reporting, analysis, and special projects.
Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders regarding financial matters.
Educational Requirements
Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
Minimum of 2 years of practical accounting experience, preferably with exposure to multi-entity bookkeeping.
Proficiency with Sage 100 (or similar ERP/accounting software).
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel; advanced skills considered an asset.
