Job Description

We are seeking a talented individual to support the activities of the Finance Organization in a fast-paced consumer product environment. The primary focus of the role will include financial leadership to our business and the development of accounting acumen by partnering with the broader finance team and our business partners across the organization. This role will have a great deal of exposure to reporting and analytics that support critical decisions to drive profitable growth.

Key Accountabilities
Scope:
The Financial Analyst will be responsible for supporting the activities of the team related to analysis and insights for our business partners. Analysis accountabilities are focused on ensuring our business has decision-making support with the goal of maximizing long-term profitable growth. Examples include reviewing sales performance, creating new and powerful dashboards to reveal drivers of growth, examining plans based on ROI, and projecting financials for new projects.

This includes:
- Business Support

  • Review and analysis of new products and promotional initiatives
  • Assisting marketing team in determining project feasibility (ROI, payback)
  • Developing analytical tools and value-added reporting for the team
- Finance Support:
  • Assist with activities related to accurate reporting and profit and loss statement preparation
  • Preparation and consolidation of dashboard/KPI reporting
  • Interacting with the supply finance team to obtain product costing for new initiatives
Business Support:
  • Project management and analysis functions include analysis of upcoming or recommended initiatives for the sales and marketing teams. This includes combining analysis with an understanding of market drivers to ensure sound investment recommendations are generated by the team.
  • Gathering financial data to present an analysis of the recommendations to management, including product costing, revenue management strategies, and risk analysis.
  • Optimizing reporting for the sales and marketing teams to ensure they have visibility to key performance indicators, along with insights and commentary.
Finance Support:
  • Assist with periodical reporting for our business partners on actuals and forecast
  • Complete variance analyses as part of the close process that enables senior management to view performance vs. operating plan and to enhance future forecasts.
Key Lateral Responsibilities:
  • Participate in cross-functional Business Unit projects
  • Interact with Marketing and Sales teams
  • Support for Budget owners for fixed costs
  • Interact with Supply and logistics teams
