POSITION: Finance Clerk UNIT: Finance STATUS: Full Time SALARY: $23.23 - $25.25
POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Finance Clerk will work within a team that ensures the overall quality, accuracy, and completeness of financial information. The individual will provide clerical support to the Finance Department. The Finance Clerk is required to perform multiple tasks such as daily cashier duties, accounts receivable duties including both patient and non-patient accounts, accounts payable duties, and other duties as required.
HOURS: Typical coverage is required Monday through Friday, 0800-1600. The successful candidate also must have flexibility to adjust their schedule in order to meet the needs of the Hospital. Please note that this position cannot performed remotely.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
  • Post-secondary diploma in Finance field (Accounting required).
  • Minimum of three (3) years recent Accounts Payable/Receivable and financial/accounting work experience;
  • At least one (1) year experience within the last three (3) years of Finance clerk experience preferred;
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with high volume work;
  • Sound understanding and working knowledge of internal controls and financial work processes;
  • Excellent performance in account analysis and reconciliation;
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical and creative problem-solving skills;
  • Fully proficient with MS Office/Excel;
  • Demonstrated effective communication, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills;
  • Logical and efficient, with a keen attention to detail;
  • Willingness to participate in the planning and implementation of identified opportunities for change as related to finance practices;
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks through highly developed time management skills;
  • Team player possessing high integrity, confidence and maturity with a proven ability to initiate and develop relationships with partners and other stakeholders;
  • Highest personal and professional standards of ethics and integrity;
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis as per the STEGH Attendance at Work Policy;
  • Demonstrates an acceptable performance record within STEGH values

Successful candidates must provide evidence of a fully completed COVID-19 vaccination status prior to your first day of work. To be considered fully immunized, individuals need to have received their second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days earlier than the date they arriving to an interview or to begin work at STEGH.
