Job description and requirements[Finance Business Partner ] This position is on-site at the plant in Paris, Ontario.Create value at TC TranscontinentalAt TC Transcontinental, we\'ve got it made, and that\'s because of the expertise of our team.The Finance Business Partner (FBP) is a strategic finance professional who works closely with business units and is responsible to help drive informed business decisions-making and achieve the company\'s strategic objectives. The FBP provides financial expertise, insights and analysis that help businesses understand their financial situations, identify opportunities and risks, and make sound decisions about allocating funds.The FBP with play an integral role of the leadership team, whereby, they will participate in development of the short to long-term strategy. The FBP will also support and/or lead mandates that are deemed strategic and critical for the business operation.When your actions lead to success.

  • Manage and achieve the financial targets and objectives
  • Analyze and interpret statistical and accounting information to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against plan and other matters relating to the financial soundness and operating effectiveness of the division.
  • Consolidate and present financial reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs), to management, highlighting trends, opportunities, areas of concern, profit bridges, variance analysis and business drivers & actions.
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to the business unit\'s leadership team
  • Build strong working relationships with department heads and business unit leaders, providing financial guidance and support for their initiatives.
  • Manage operational analysis (costing analysis, waste performance, continuous improvement savings, footprint analysis)
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements within the assigned business units and provide recommendations for cost control.
  • Oversee business analytics and inventory management. The FBP will optimize the processes, ensure development of key reports, and allow the organization to make strategic business decisions.
  • Support Sales and Operation planning (S&OP) to align demand, strategic plans, and operational plans.
  • Approve pricing recommendations, ensuring that pricing decisions are compliant with legal and ethical standards, and that pricing risks are identified and mitigate. Monitor and measure the performance of pricing decisions, using key performance indicators (KPIs) as designed by the organization. Help identify the most profitable and unprofitable customers by providing accurate and timely information on the costs of serving different customers.
  • Lead working capital reporting and key improvement actions.
  • Oversee and track procurement savings.
  • Assist with the financial forecasting and budgeting
  • Prepare budgets, strategic business reviews and planning, forecasts, and other management presentations for the plants under the FBP\'s realm.
  • Assist the plants to outperform and execute plans by measuring planned results in terms of production, quality, efficiency, safety and environmental impact.
  • Support the financial decision-making and strategy-setting process
  • Collaborate with business leaders to develop and execute financial strategies that align with the organization\'s overall goals and objectives.
  • Support financial presentations to the division.
  • Support business development, financial analysis and integration (deal analysis). The incumbent is the key business partner to plant leadership.
  • Special mandate: Support the strategic objectives of the plants., as needed. The incumbent is expected to lead, support, or collaborate, depending on the project. For capital projects, the FBP leads the governance including project evaluation, progress tracking and post-mortems.

  • Bachelor\'s in administration, accounting, or finance.
  • CPA designation (strong asset)
  • 5 years + experience in a manufacturing environment
