We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Associate to join our finance team. This role is designed to transition day-to-day finance responsibilities from the Finance Manager, enabling them to dedicate more time to high-impact strategic initiatives and special projects. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of financial operations, driving process improvements, and supporting data-driven decision-making.
This position is ideal for someone looking to gain exposure to higher-level financial functions and grow into a more senior finance role in the future.
Key Responsibilities:
Shadow the Finance Manager and take ownership of recurring financial operations, freeing up leadership bandwidth for strategic work
Assist in preparation and posting of journal entries during the month-end close process
Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank and credit card reconciliations
Support the preparation of monthly financial reports and variance analysis
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, in a timely and accurate manner
Maintain and organize financial records, ensuring completeness and compliance with internal policies
Assist in the preparation of audit documentation and support external audit processes
Collaborate with other departments to gather and verify financial data
Complete PST and GST filings, payroll and compliance, perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed
Assist Finance Manager with budget preparation, year-end audit and preparation of financial statements
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field
1-3 years of experience in a finance or accounting role
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Teams; experience with Acumatica is a plus
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
