The Finance and Insurance (F&I) Sales Assistant supports the F&I team by handling administrative tasks, processing documents, and assisting customers in securing financing options and insurance coverage. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment to ensure the smooth operation of the F&I department at the dealership. We will train, no experience necessary.
Responsibilities
Customer Assistance and Support:
Greet and assist customers who are finalizing their vehicle purchases by explaining financing and insurance options.
Provide clear and concise information regarding various financing plans, insurance policies, and extended warranties available to customers.
Coordinate with customers to collect necessary financial and personal documents for loan or lease applications and insurance coverage.
Document Preparation and Processing:
Prepare all necessary documentation for financing and insurance agreements, including loan applications, lease contracts, and insurance forms.
Ensure that all documents are accurately completed and signed by customers, and ensure compliance with dealership policies and legal regulations.
Verify customer creditworthiness by gathering relevant financial information and submitting to financial institutions.
Finance & Insurance Application Submission:
Submit completed finance applications to lenders and follow up on approval status, ensuring timely communication with customers about their application results.
Review and ensure accuracy in contracts and other documents, processing them promptly to finalize sales transactions.
Assist customers in securing vehicle protection plans, including GAP insurance, extended warranties, and other related services.
Customer Record Management:
Maintain and update accurate customer records related to finance and insurance details.
Ensure all confidential customer information is properly stored and safeguarded according to dealership policies and regulatory requirements.
Follow up with customers regarding insurance renewals, payments, or any questions about their coverage.
Sales & Finance Team Support:
Provide administrative support to the F&I Manager, including scheduling meetings, maintaining files, and preparing reports.
Coordinate with other departments (sales, service, and accounting) to ensure all vehicle sales transactions are completed smoothly.
Track and report sales and financing performance, ensuring all related activities are documented.
Compliance and Regulations:
Ensure all finance and insurance transactions comply with local, state, and federal regulations and dealership policies.
Stay updated on industry best practices, changes in regulations, and new finance products or insurance offerings.
Assist in preparing for audits and compliance reviews, ensuring that all files are organized and up to date.
Customer Follow-Up:
Contact customers post-sale to confirm satisfaction with financing and insurance products.
Assist in addressing any customer concerns or issues related to finance or insurance coverage.
Help resolve any discrepancies or issues that may arise during or after the purchase process.

Ability to address customer issues and resolve problems related to financing and insurance in a professional and efficient manner.
Work Environment:
This role is based in the dealership's office, with interaction with customers and the sales floor.
Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required.
