Job Description

Position Overview



The Finance Administrator is responsible for managing financial records and processes for the property. This includes receiving, coding, and processing invoices for payment, as well as overseeing departmental purchases in line with approved budgets and purchase orders. The Finance Administrator is also responsible for maintaining the stockroom and managing office supplies.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities



Maintain financial records and processes; Accounts Payable; receive invoices, code, and submit to Donna Cona; Maintain and store physical copies of signed contracts for each department; Support the development of a healthy internal culture and enforce company values; Possess full knowledge of the Totem Rewards benefits and slot promotions; Ensure efficient cash flow on the casino floor by monitoring cash levels (cash on site, Jo needs to be added to email); Properly secure and store workbooks and associated paperwork for 7 years; Manage Found Money & Customer Dispute procedures; Charity distribution; Possess a thorough knowledge of FINTRAC procedures; Adhere to NBLGC policies and procedures; Adhere to Grey Rock Entertainment Centre internal controls, policies and procedures; Other duties as reasonable and assigned; Identify irregularities and areas for improvement; Maintain Purchase Order processes; verify purchases with approved POs and track spending; Enforce financial policies and procedures; Maintain the stockroom and order office supplies; Adheres to NBLGC policies and procedures; Adheres to Grey Rock Entertainment Centre internal controls, policies, and procedures; Backup for the Drop and Count; Other duties as required and assigned.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities



Assist with ensuring the accuracy of workbooks, verifying data entry with associated paperwork, in the absence of the Finance Administrator; Assisting in printing reports to verify and inspect slot promotions, free play, and coupon distribution; Assist with the daily slot auditing procedures in the absence of the Senior Finance Administrator.

Working Condition



May be required to stand, sit or bend for extended periods of time; Must be available to work a rotating shift support the Casino hours of operations (holidays and weekend included); Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Experience & Qualifications Required



Must be 19 years or over; Post-secondary education in Accounting, Financial Bookkeeping, Business Management, Commerce or an equivalent combination of education and experience; The ability to work with Microsoft Excel and Office applications; Excellent computer and numerical skills; Strong organizational skills; Team-working skills; Strong attention to detail; The energy and enthusiasm to deal with campaigns; The ability to work to deadlines and cope with the consequent pressure; Expert level Fluency in ENGLISH and FRENCH (written and spoken).

Additional Experience



Previous experience in finance and administration would be considered an asset.
