Finance Manager job opening in Toronto, ON
Adecco Professional is looking for a full-time, temporary Finance Manager to join our client in Toronto, ON for 6-8 weeks with potential for extension or more. This urgent request is to start immediately in a hybrid work arrangement with the location being midtown Toronto by a TTC subway station (Yonge line). The ideal candidate will be a hands-on accounting professional and experience managing the day-to-day finance operations and accounting processes in a hands on capacity, there would be 1 direct report supporting AP/AR. The responsibilities for the Finance Manager job opening in Toronto, ON, may include but are not limited to:

• Prepare and maintain complete financial records
• Financial reporting with the ability to present to Board and other departments
• Preparing financial statements
• Responsible for completing journal entries and maintain the general ledger
• Communicate with and present to the International Executive Team, the Board and other stakeholders on any/all financial related reports and updates
• Managing daily accounting functions with the more direct support of an AP/AR staff member
• Administer payroll and support with benefits related functions
• Mentor, coach and delegate to a junior accountant
• Other duties as needed.

Some of the qualifications for the Finance Manager job opening in Toronto, ON include:

• At least 5 years of senior level, full cycle Accounting experience
• CPA designation or close to completion
• Strong knowledge on key Accounting terminology and principles; including GAAP
• Advanced Excel skills and proficient knowledge in Accounting software; Great Plains knowledge an asset
• Excellent verbal / written communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently under tight deadlines
