Filmmaker \xe2\x80\x93 Best Buy Studios

Are you extremely passionate about video production?

The Best Buy Studios team is looking for a resourceful, imaginative, energetic and creative filmmaker, to collaborate with an established team of producers, motion graphic designers, photographers and filmmakers to bring concepts to life.

In this role, the successful candidate is needed to be in the greater Vancouver, BC area, where we practice a remote first working model, leveraging in person interactions for strategic, collaborative, and social purposes.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:

Create internal video content for our corporate communication and training and be a key part in the production team that creates customer facing content for social media and In-store video network

Take ownership of a project from pre-production through post-production

Create with purpose and intention, always brainstorming and developing new ideas to create captivating content

Plan and organize video shoots through location scouting, casting, equipment logistics, concepting and storyboarding within a given budget

Maintain the gear inventory, keeping gear in working order and flag issues

Direct talent for testimonials and scripted content

Exhibit the best ways to grab a viewer\xe2\x80\x99s attention

What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for:

2+ years of experience as a Filmmaker, preferably at a Marketing agency or a Video production company

Knowledge of post-production workflows and files (from ingest to edit to colour and final delivery) and of video codec\xe2\x80\x99s, LUTs and delivery formats

Proficient with DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premier, After Effects and Photoshop

Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously that vary in scope and production stage

Experience working with the latest lighting and camera systems

Ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs)
