We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience with various machining processes. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery, ensuring quality control, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our production line.
Responsibilities
1. To prepare and efficiently operate a production machine and the assigned machine material supply (ie Jug Filler or EH3 Filler but not limited too) assigned within standards of performance operation.
2. Perform Set up and changeover of a production machine (Jug Filler or EH3 Filler or other equipment) but not limited to, within standards of performance.
3. Ensure, prepare, and perform that the equipment is supplied with required raw materials for your assigned machine, (e.g., bottles, cartons, caps etc.)
4. Deliver good quality products on time
5. Where necessary submit samples to lab for testing
6. To conduct CIP and COP for the assigned equipment, submit CIP and/ or COP samples and documents to the lab before the start of machine
7. Comply with standard operating procedures.
8. To ensure proper connections are made so there are no looses.
9. To visually inspect and remove defects from the line
10. Remove any defects from the line and submit back to processing where possible
11. To reduce and recover product where possible
12. Properly label all containers used in work area.
13. Perform finished product quality checks as required, report defects; make adjustments/corrections per SOP.
14. Perform, maintain, and complete accurate records and logs as required.
15. Understand and follow material FIFO procedures
16. Record required documentation accurately during shift.
17. Perform operator-related preventative maintenance duties on assigned equipment.
18. Perform operator related troubleshoot and correct machinery or quality problems during equipment operations.
19. Notify maintenance personnel, other line personnel, supervisors and management of quality, production, equipment issues/concerns beyond scope of operator.
20. Perform and maintain proper safety conditions of equipment.
21. Perform and maintain assigned equipment and work areas clean and tidy and free from congestion
22. Perform and maintain CIP and COP of machine to ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
23. Ensure that all security procedures are followed.
24. To ensure all doors to the production area are closed and no un-authorized persons are in your area.
25. Comply with all Standard safety practices, safety rules and all Company rules and policies.
26. To work in a safe and healthy environment.
27. To advise your supervisor of improvements to your area or in the process.
28. To assist and perform training of new personnel to the machine.
29. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Experience
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.
Good interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.
A Team player and willing to take instructions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.60-$19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
