Job Description
MFC Lawyers is a boutique family law firm with offices in Guelph and Milton Ontario. The firm is looking for a Filing Clerk. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years experience in an administrative role.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answers incoming telephone calls, and scheduling appointments, updating calendars
- Scanning, photocopying, faxing and filing documents
- Maintaining and organizing files (electronic and physical)
- Communicating with clients including updating clients on matter status/progress and taking messages
- General administrative duties including maintenance of office supplies
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work independently
- Interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly both in written and verbal forms
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience working with legal management software is an asset
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Minimum 5 years working as an administrative assistant
- Legal Assistant College Diploma is an asset
- College degree is an asset
