About this opportunity
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in FileMaker development, particularly in a retail marketing and print production environment. This role requires expertise in developing and managing FileMaker solutions, integrating with various systems (including Management Information Systems (MIS), inventory management, and shipping solutions), and automating workflows. Experience in campaign management, distributions, kitting, fulfillment, and shipping systems is essential.When your actions lead to success:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance in-house FileMaker solutions tailored for in-store retail marketing and print production environments.
  • Design and implement custom FileMaker databases to support campaign management, distribution planning, kitting, fulfillment, and shipping processes.
  • Integrate FileMaker solutions with third-party MIS systems, client web portal, inventory management, and shipping systems using REST APIs, ODBC/JDBC, and other relevant methods.
  • Automate manual tasks and workflows to optimize operational efficiency in campaign management and print production, including inventory tracking, distribution scheduling, and fulfillment processes.
  • Thorough understanding of UI/UX concepts and applications.
  • Ensure that FileMaker database solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with best practices for in-store retail marketing workflows.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues related to FileMaker, integrated systems, and retail campaign management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, marketing, production, logistics, and sales, to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Provide training and support to internal teams on the use of FileMaker solutions, focusing on campaign management and fulfillment best practices..

When your expertise drives us
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience with FileMaker development in a professional environment, particularly in retail marketing, print production, or a manufacturing environment .
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in FileMaker Pro, FileMaker Server, and FileMaker Go.
  • Strong knowledge of FileMaker scripting, calculations, and relational database design.
  • Experience with API integrations, including REST APIs, JSON, XML, and working with ODBC/JDBC connections.
  • Experience with Windows Servers and Linux operating systems for managing databases and integration environments.
  • Knowledge of print production workflows, in-store retail marketing, campaign management, and fulfillment processes.
  • Familiarity with MIS systems (e.g., Print MIS, EFI products e.g. Pace), inventory management e.g. PrintStream, and shipping systems.
  • Understanding of Print production process in large format and digital printing.
  • Understanding of logistics related to distributions, kitting, and shipping.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Additional Skills (Preferred):
  • Experience with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP) for web-based and back-end FileMaker solutions.
  • Knowledge of database security and best practices for data integrity.
  • Project management skills to handle multiple projects and priorities effectively. Experience in Agile Project Management methodologies and tools such as JIRA.
