JOB SUMMARY
As the Manager, FIFA Activations, Canada you will manage the organization and activation of ABI's sponsorship for the FIFA WC 2026 in Canada. You will ensure sponsorship rights are activated in line with Labatt Canada's business objectives and brand strategy, while also working with host cities to ensure we are delivering strong return to the business.
Represent Labatt with global working team and host cities for planning and execution of activations as well as a central point of contact for internal stakeholders. Work closely with sales regions to develop and activate plan leading up to and throughout FIFA WC 2026. This role will provide significant exposure to cross functional leaders at Labatt and ABI.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Sponsorship Planning (40%)• Manage day to day relationship with rights-holders, property, and host cities
• Lead and manage internal working groups and routines
• Lead and manage relationships with venues (BC Place and BMO field)
• Consult on, track and manage all contractual assets on behalf of Labatt
• Manage agency relationships for creative, activation and hospitality deliverables
• Provide regular intelligence on key happenings and opportunities on the FIFA World Cup 2026
• Inspire and build creative solutions to maximize sponsorshis


Sponsorship Activation (30%)• Support brands and agencies on development of experiential activation concepts and programming
• Advise, "sense-check" to brand teams and agencies on viability of activation ideas
• Provide guardrails for/guide brand teams and agencies in terms of contractual rights and obligations for venue and fan fest activations
• Collect activation learning and results from Labatt brand team, regions, and other ABI markets
• Lead allocation of contractual assets strategy and key objectives
• Manage delivery deadlines and activation planning for brands and properties
• Provide weekly updates for brand team and internal working groups



Hospitality and Concessions (30%)• Manage and maintain relationship with concessionaire at both host city venues including but not limited to ordering, delivery, and branded POS
• Work with agency lead to delivery against hospitality plan
• Day-of contact for hospitality needs and questions
• Lead sponsorship budget allocation across stakeholders
• Provide real-time reporting on venue sales forecast potential issues


JOB QUALIFICATIONS• University degree - Business, Management, Marketing or related field,
• Minimum 5 years of experience in sponsorship management on agency or client side
• Experience delivering sponsorship activation at large, international events
• Deep understanding of Canadian sports and entertainment property landscape
• Experience in project management for large scale events
• Demonstrated success of property management at portfolio level
• Excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills
• Ability to think strategically, critically and connect sponsorship with business objective and brand strategy
• Ability to prioritize and manage a wide range of projects in parallel
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, able to synthesize insights from data
• Must bring a focused, detailed and disciplined approach to sponsorship; able to manage contract, data, asset, financial details accurately
