Virtual Reality Field Trip Guide - Calgary (Part-Time/Casual with Full-Time Potential)Job Summary
VRCORE is looking for an energetic, reliable, and personable Field Trip Guide to join our team and help deliver unforgettable virtual reality learning experiences to students across Calgary schools. You will work alongside a dedicated VR Technician in a two-person team. While your Tech partner handles equipment setup and technical support, you will be the face of the experience -- leading groups of students through immersive VR field trips, delivering pre-written educational content in an exciting and engaging way, and ensuring every child has a safe, fun, and memorable session. This is the perfect role for someone who loves working with kids, thrives in front of an audience, and wants to be part of the future of education through cutting-edge VR technology.

Key Responsibilities



Lead in-school VR field trips by delivering provided scripts and educational materials in a dynamic, engaging, and age-appropriate manner Adapt presentation style and content pacing to suit different age groups (primarily Grades 3-9) and learning needs Give clear safety instructions and assist students with putting on/taking off VR headsets confidently and safely Embody VRCORE's core values: Innovation, Impact, Curiosity, and Accountability Accurately log session details and feedback in our booking system Occasionally assist the Technician with light equipment handling and transportation

Qualifications & Requirements



Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to captivate a classroom of students Comfortable and confident working with children and managing group dynamics Strong time-management skills and reliability -- you'll often run multiple sessions per day Valid Class 5 driver's licence and clean driving record (personal vehicle required) Ability to pass a vulnerable sector police check (required for working with children) Availability Monday-Friday during school hours

Nice-to-Haves (Assets)



Previous experience working with children (teaching, coaching, camp counsellor, tutoring, etc.) Theatre, improv, public speaking, or tour-guide experience Familiarity with VR or consumer technology Post-secondary education in education, drama, communications, or a related field

Schedule & Compensation



Casual/part-time position with hours that fluctuate based on bookings (typically 10-30+ hours/week) Opportunity for full-time hours as we continue to grow Daytime weekday schedule (no evenings or weekends) Competitive hourly rate
