Job Description

Position Objective



The primary objective of this position is to execute the implementation of Enerpro Systems' project installations, commissioning, and field service work. This role is a 2-3 month contract with potential for full time.

Duties and Responsibilities



Installation/Commissioning Duties (90%)

Configure meters/EV chargers and related data acquisition components for specific application

Confirm all meters and control components are accounted for based on the project design

Install and terminate metering/EV and control components based on project documentation

Replace faulty or malfunctioning components

Commission energy management systems, including working with sub-trades and consultants when required

Create commissioning reports to track components and operational status

Work with staff and supervisor to organize, manage, and communicate status of projects. This includes coordinating and participating in project related meetings

Project Coordination Duties (5%)

Provide communication of work completed by contractors and sub-trades.

Assist in the coordination of project documentation related to all agreements.

Train staff and sub-trades, including appropriate use of equipment, required to complete installations and field work for energy systems under contract.

Assist with company R&D efforts when required

Field Service Duties (5%)

Maintain positive relationships with contractors, suppliers, partners, and distributors

Maintain, repair, upgrade, install, and troubleshoot controls and equipment for projects under contract.

Create work orders for service calls.

Qualifications



Technology Diploma from Electrical and Computer Engineering program or equivalent work experience

Desire to become an expert in job related subject matters

Familiarity with instrumentation wiring and construction practices would be considered an asset

Familiarity with mechanical systems found in commercial buildings is an asset (HVAC, VRF, boilers, hydronic heating)

Valid BC Driver's License with clean abstract and no restrictions

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities



Strong interpersonal and customer service skills and the ability to present a professional and positive image

Basic understanding of communication protocols, MODBUS, Ethernet, TCP IP, IoT networking

Ability to work under pressure, evaluate demands and adapt to changing priorities

Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to those without the background

Demonstrated ability to manipulate, analyze and present data using MS office Excel

Experience using PLC controllers and programming tools

Ability read wiring diagrams and pull project related information from electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings

Work with team to design, layout and manufacture custom electrical control/metering panels

Work independently and effectively within a multi-faceted team

Detail oriented and excellent problem solving

Occasionally travel as required

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
