POSITION SUMMARY The successful candidate will be accountable for installing and repairing digital services in a clean, safe, professional manner and delivering an exceptional customer experience to any one of our valued partners locally, provincially or nationwide. CUSTOMER SERVICE REQUIREMENTS Reporting to the Operations Manager, every Field Technician will need to possess a positive and passionate personality, with the natural ability to positively communicate with any of TechConnect\xe2\x80\x99s Customer\xe2\x80\x99s and Staff. They will maintain eye contact and demonstrate an ability to listen and empathize with our customer\xe2\x80\x99s needs and problems. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES \xc2\xb7 Perform safe installation and repair of digital equipment related to voice and data services: phone, internet & TV, while adhering to company standards, federal and provincial laws. \xc2\xb7 Working with Coax Cable as well as Tip and Ring, and Security systems \xc2\xb7 Solutions-based selling \xe2\x80\x93 recommending products & services to customers \xc2\xb7 Maintains accurate system records and support documentation for all work orders \xc2\xb7 Ensures work vehicle, test equipment and tools are maintained and in good working condition \xc2\xb7 Promotes TechConnect and the client with providing exceptional customer service, positive and professional image \xc2\xb7 A knack for problem solving and multitasking in a fast paced, time-sensitive environment \xc2\xb7 The ability to recognize one\xe2\x80\x99s mistakes and learn from them \xc2\xb7 A commitment to teamwork and working in a fun and friendly atmosphere \xc2\xb7 Complete all required documentation accurately and thoroughly \xc2\xb7 Assist in the preparation of labeling, pre-packaging, stocking and organizing equipment \xc2\xb7 Maintain adequate stock levels of equipment, including ordering new equipment, pick-up and delivery \xc2\xb7 Maintain cleanliness of the company office, warehouse and surrounding area \xc2\xb7 Assist in the development and implementation of new processes to improve workflow \xc2\xb7 Assist in the field as required \xc2\xb7 Other duties as required \xc2\xb7 Protect company assets MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS \xc2\xb7 Grade 12 education or equivalent \xc2\xb7 Previous field experience and/or education in the telecommunications/Cable TV industry \xc2\xb7 Valid Canadian driver\xe2\x80\x99s license without any restrictions (Abstract required) \xc2\xb7 Personal truck/van, no older than 7 years and good running order. \xc2\xb7 Fluent in English, with demonstrated professional oral and written communications skills: fluency in other languages would be a bonus \xc2\xb7 Ability to work various shifts including evenings, weekends and statutory holidays \xc2\xb7 Approved PPE, job tools and equipment \xc2\xb7 Ability to work solo or in a team environment with minimal supervision \xc2\xb7 Strong organization, prioritizing, time management and multi-tasking skills \xc2\xb7 Ability to travel locally and beyond your Base of Operations \xc2\xb7 Possess strong computer skills \xc2\xb7 Previous experience in customer service and/or sales PHYSICAL DEMANDS \xc2\xb7 Must be able to lift a minimum of 70lbs \xc2\xb7 Must be able to climb or work at heights in excess of 28\xe2\x80\x99 \xc2\xb7 Must be able to work in various Canadian weather conditions in all seasons \xc2\xb7 Must have appropriate vision to be able to safely identify various colour schemes \xc2\xb7 Physically able to perform all aspects of the job including, but not limited to, climbing ladders, working in confined spaces and safely operating hand tools Job Type: Full-time Salary: $34.00-$40.00 per hour Schedule:
