Awnings And More is scheduling interviews now for our Field Technician position in Calgary, AB. This is a full time Mon-Fri position.

The compensation will start at $25 per hour for the right person, with tremendous potential for increased pay. Other aspects of the compensation package include:

The Field Tech role is critical to the delivery, installation, and operation of all products purchased by our customers. The FT is tasked with two primary responsibilities:

On-site installation and repairs of retractable awnings, patio covers, patio screens, roll shutters, and other outdoor living products supplied by Awnings And More. Ensuring that all customers have an amazing technical experience with Awnings And More. This includes delivering a high quality of work with timeliness and efficiency, as well as resolving any issues customers may have, quickly and thoroughly.
The FT can expect to spend most of their time in the field each week, completing their work as scheduled in the job calendar. A typical workday for the FT will start at 8am and end around 6pm, based on how much work is scheduled for the day.

The FT will be required to talk to customers about their installation requirements or job details, and communicate with staff daily with regular check-ins and progress reports.

The ideal candidate will have background experience in home construction to better understand the support requirements of our products on all types of homes.

This person will learn how to install and service all products we offer (awnings, solar screens, patio covers, roll shutters), as well as be able to lift and carry 75 lbs safely.

This candidate will be a strong problem solver, highly detail oriented, and a team player.

Must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive a truck with or without a loaded 10 ft cargo trailer in tow.

The basic requirements for this job are as follows:

Must be able to lift over 75 lbs. easily and be able to carry ladders safely. Must know what a drill is (and how to use it). Must have a valid Driver's License and reliable transportation. Must be 18 or older. Must not be a jerk.
